Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?:
YOUNG LIVING: THE LONGEST-STANDING ESSENTIAL OILS COMPANY, AROUND:
Young Living Essential Oils is the longest-standing essential oils company around, at around 21 years in the business. This alone should speak highly of costumers’ and reps’ overall satisfaction rating.
A lot of customers and independent distributors speak highly of the Young Living’s products and business as a whole in Young Living essential oils reviews.
That being said, there are some issues that need to be addressed, if you are considering becoming a Young Living Independent Distributor.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: YOUNG LIVING’S NOT-SO-STELLAR REPUTATION:
There are some unsavory things on the internet about the owner, D. Gary Young. Check out this article which includes a large portion about Young Living’s creator and owner, Gary Young (the fun, tabloid version), or this more cut and dry version, here.
Gary Young is such a character, we don’t know whether to call him a quack, narcissist, fanatic, or what, exactly. The stories about him are so wild, we almost can’t believe it! Trust us, you’ll thank us for sharing that article, if you would like to become a Young Living distributor.
Besides the reproach and embarrassment surrounding Gary Young, there are some other serious issues haunting Young Living Essential Oils: OSHA Violations, FDA violations, legal threats and warnings sent, a class-action lawsuit and several large and serious lawsuits tarnish the company’s reputation.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: YOUNG LIVING SUFFERS FROM ETHICS ISSUES, AS WELL:
Besides legal troubles, Young Living suffers from ethical issues as well. For starters, Gary Young passes legal troubles onto Young Living distributors.
Furthermore, Young Living Essential Oils reviews at Glassdoor indicate that farm employees with Young Living Essential Oils are not always treated well, either. Young Living Essential Oils definitely could do more to help their farm employees, the core of their production infrastructure.
Worst of all, Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Reputable chemists say, ‘Yes’..
One chemist, Robert Pappas, provided a deposition that Young Living Essential Oils products contain synthetic products when they are labeled as being completely “organic.” This statement has been proven as true by third-party testing in their cinnamon bark oil. Uh oh, the plot is thickening with Young Living Essential Oils Scam claims.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: YOUNG LIVING’S LEGAL ISSUES ARE NEVER-ENDING:
The well-trusted company, Bestcompany.com, doesn’t look at Young Living Oils very fondly, either. Here’s their scathing Young Living Essential Oils review:
On May 28th, 2017, Shana Eddy, of Rochester, NY gives Young Living 1 out of 5 stars. She left one of her own negative Young Living Essential Oils reviews, as well, on BestCompany:
Here’s a couple more more Young Living Essential Oils reviews left on theguidetoaromatherapy.com/ylfiles worth considering if you would like to become a Young Living distributor:
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: SO, HOW SATISFIED ARE YOUNG LIVING CUSTOMERS?
In our estimation, 60% of Young Living Essential Oils reviews in comment blogs are positive with regards to the business model and products.
That’s not to say that a 60/40 satisfaction rating is an accurate reflection overall. However, these Young Living essential oils reviews can give you some good insight into some of the issues the reps and company struggle with.

Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: YOUNG LIVING REVIEWS AND CONSUMER COMPLAINTS:
YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS SCAM COMPLAINT #1: OBSCENE AND LENGTHY SHIPPING AND REFUNDS:
A large portion of complaints in Young Living Essential Oils reviews seem to revolve around unfair shipping charges, an obscenely lengthy time to receive products, and/or a terrible challenge receiving a refund. What is the Young Living Essential Oils ScamOn June 28th, 2017, Cathy Watts, a Young Living distributor, gives Young Living 3 out of 5 stars on bestcompany and adds her own frustrations to the list of Young Living Essential Oils reviews:
And there are many similar Young Living Essential Oils reviews, like the one, above.
YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS SCAM COMPLAINT #2: OFFENSIVE SALES REPS:
The next segment of negative Young Living Essential Oils reviews are by customers who were treated poorly by lackluster or outright offensive Young Living independent distributors. Apparently, Young Living distributors can become particularly combative with people who don’t agree with the essential oils health paradigm.
YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS SCAM COMPLAINT #3: POOR PRODUCT QUALITY AND NEGATIVE HEALTH EFFECTS:
Lastly, there’s also a lot of arguing, debating, and skepticism over the actual effectiveness and quality of Young Living’s products in Young Living Essential Oils reviews.
Many negative complaints in Young Living Essential Oils reviews are by customers who have suffered allergic reactions, sensitivity, or negative health effects after using Young Living Essential Oils.
Often, these negative health reactions were ignored, or worse. Some consumers were given unsafe medical advice by their rep, and some, even were called liars, as if they fabricated their reaction. This is because many Young Living reps are under the false notion that negative health effects of essential oils are not even possible. This is complete bull. (Just wait until you scroll down for some scary examples…).
Here is just one of these Young Living Essential Oils reviews. On July 8th, 2016, Lauren Andrews from Montpelier, VT shares many of her health concerns:
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living Essential Oils a Pyramid Scheme?: COMPLAINT #4: THE BUSINESS MODEL:
It is no wonder that more than 50% of Young Living distributors quit after one year, after hearing their grievances in Young Living Essential Oils reviews. So many question, “Is Young Living a pyramid scheme?’, it really warrants a deeper look, as wel.
On September 7th, 2016, Faith from Valparaiso, IN, gives Young Living Oils 1 out of 5 stars. She left one of her own negative Young Living Essential Oils reviews on BestCompany:
In our honest opinion, her complaint is completely justified, along with all the others who question, “Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?” by the numbers we see in the Young Living Opportunity and Income Disclaimer statement. Young Living pyramid scheme claims draw more merit when compounded by Young Living’s legal troubles, false claims, and marketing fluff coming from the leaders of the company. This leads to the next topic:
SO, IS YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS A SCAM, TRUTHFU LLY? IS YOUNG LIVING A PYRAMID SCHEME?:

What is the Young Living Essential Oils Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: OUR YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS SCAM REVIEW EXPOSES THE UGLY TRUTH:
LITTLE TO NO MONEY IS ACTUALLY BEING MADE BY THE VAST MAJORITY OF YOUNG LIVING INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTORS.
Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme, then? Check out these dirty statistics and decide for yourself:
Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: DIRTY STATISTIC #1:
94% of Young Living Independant distributors make only $12 a year in gross profits, even before any business expenses are deducted.
Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: DIRTY STATISTIC #2:
The median dollar amount for the average Young Living independent distributor is not even that measly $1 buck a month (from dirty statistic #1) —it’s ACTUALLY ZERO.
NOW IF THAT ISN’T ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU RUN FOR THE HILLS, IT GETS WORSE!
Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: DIRTY STATISTIC #3:
An whopping 3.5% of Young Living independent distributors manage to make a little more than a measly dollar a month.
However, on average, they must invest 15 long months and 8 hours a week into their business.
Do you know what they earn?
They are ‘raking it in’ at a whopping $60 a month in gross profits—that’s less than $2 an hour, before deducting any business expenses at all.*
*Business expenses include the cost of a rep’s oils, product kits, display cases, samples to give away, business cards, brochures, marketing costs, phone lines, business applications, travel, and other expenses necessary to run a successful small business which sells physical products.
SO, HOW ON EARTH IS YOUNG LIVING A LUCRATIVE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY?
IT JUST PLAIN ISN’T!
At the end of the day, almost all Young Living independent distributors end up deep in the red after buying their overpriced oils and adding in business expenses to market Young Living Oils’ products.
Young Living Essential Oils sadly IS NOT a lucrative business model. The numbers don’t crunch for almost everyone, and for that, we deem the business model of Young Living Essential Oils a scam.
OUR BEST ADVICE? RUN FROM YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS! (But before you do, CHECK OUT THIS BUSINESS MODEL WITH SERIOUS INCOME-EARNING POTENTIAL.)
What is the Young Living Essential Oils Scam?: SO, WHY, EXACTLY, ARE SO MANY YOUNG LIVING REPS FAILING?
Well, we’ll tell you exactly why so many Young Living independent distributors are failing! It’s not hard to understand why they are failing when you start addressing all these challenges…
What is the Young Living Essential Oils Scam? Well, there’s 15 Pitfalls that will likely sink your ship. Let’s break them down:
What is the Young Living Essential Oils Scam?: 15 REASONS WHY SELLING YOUNG LIVING OILS IS NOT PROFITABLE:
No matter how in love you might be with Young Living Essential Oils, there are some problems right up front with their business model that will likely sink your ship. These challenges sink 98% of all hopeful entrepreneurs that join MLMs which share similar business models to Young Living’s:
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #1: RECRUITING REQUIRES SALES SKILLS YOU MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE:
To make money selling Young Living, you must consistently recruit new people underneath you. Recruiting requires sales skills that you may or may not have. Also, recruiting requires an in-depth knowledge of their products to be able to market them well. Lastly, recruiting requires you to waste a lot of time pitching to people that will never be interested in joining you in selling Young Living, or buying it from you–ever.
SCARY STATISTIC: With network marketing companies like Young Living, 98% of people who join can only convince TWO OTHERS to join. That isn’t nearly enough to make any sort of living from, clearly.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #2: HOSTING HOME PARTIES REQUIRES TOO MUCH TIME, MONEY, AND EFFORT.
You’ll need to network with your friends and family and host parties to promote Young Living Essential Oils. Is your home in presentable condition?
Soon, you’ll need to host product parties outside of your home. This requires loading and unloading marketing materials, product samples, products for sale, refreshments…
Being the host is backbreaking!
Plus, besides the time and back-breaking effort for all those involved the sheer financial cost of product samples, party refreshments, and discounted products you’re offering, and the profit losses can really stack up.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #3: YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE NOT ENOUGH LEADS.
You will also need to keep an ongoing list of your friends (your leads) and pressure them to join you to ‘sell, sell, sell’, (or at the very least, ‘buy, buy, buy’ from you).
As the industry standard, you’ll burn through your ‘warm leads’ within six weeks. You’ll start contacting old acquaintances, and you’ll have to use sales pressure and guilt to make worthwhile sales from your limited leads.
Trust us, there IS a better way! Click here to find out more…
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #4: GUILT WILL BECOME YOUR MAIN SALES TOOL.
Using guilt to earn sales is definitely not a good way to maintain or grow friendships or business partners, and you’ll need to be using guilt as a sales tool a lot in order to make any profit at all in Young Living.
Just research a few Young Living Essential Oils reviews and it becomes painfully obvious: Even the most pressure-free Young Living independent distributor can unintentionally levy a heavy load of guilt onto their unsuspecting friend who is just ‘too nice’ to say ‘no’ to your complimentary sample or a starter pack, (and that will be money wasted out of your pocket, too).
And then you have that other ‘nice’ friend who strings you along like they are willing to join your team (just out of their inability to say ‘no’), when in truth, they have only fleeting interest, or even worse, maybe no interest at all in joining the company you’re with, or buying anything from you—ever.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #5: MONTHLY PURCHASES ARE REQUIRED TO STAY ACTIVE AS A SALES REP.
While Young Living claims that there are no ‘minimum quotas’ to be a member of their business, that is not fully accurate and adds to Young Living scam claims. What Young Living doesn’t tell you is that in order to be eligible to make profits (as in, make an actual paycheck versus just receiving a product discount), independent distributors are required to purchase 100 PV in products each month/ This which equates to a massive $150-$200 U.S. auto-ship each and every month, or upwards of $2,400 a year.
Woah! $2,400 a year in essential oils?!?!?!
This can quickly lead to suffering major profit losses if you are aren’t able to sell off your $200 in products each month, and also pay for business expenses.

Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #6: AUTO-SHIPPED PRODUCTS CAN BECOME MAJOR PROFIT LOSSES.
I don’t know about you, but I have zero interest in storing a never-ending, growing hoard of product samples, surplus, and unsold Young Living Essential Oils in my garage.
The last thing my friends would want from me on Christmas Day or their birthday is an over-priced essential oil diffuser that I couldn’t manage to sell.
And, let’s not minimize the constant daily worry of ‘Who I can pawn my growing hoard off to, just to keep my income flowing’? What is the Young Living Essential Oils Scam?
Bottom line, if you don’t have the skills to proficiently ‘sell, sell, sell’ all the Young Living Essential Oils coming to your door, or your effort is inconsistent, you could quickly fall into debt while attempting to hone your sales skills and actually MAKING A PROFIT selling Young Living Essential Oils.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #7: POSITIONING YOURSELF AS AN EXPERT IN ESSENTIAL OILS REQUIRES TRAINING AND SALES SKILLS YOU MAY NOT HAVE, OR WANT TO TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN:
Even though essential oils are really increasing in popularity, ( 1/3 of the U.S. has already tried them at some point), most people *aren’t* yet on board with their benefits, like you and me.
So, to pitch Young Living Oils, you will first have to EDUCATE THE CONSUMER on what essential oils are and convince them of their health benefits. This requires you to not only educate yourself on the topic of essential oils and how to safely use them, but to use sales skills to position yourself as an expert, or authority, on the subject.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #8.) AVOIDING MAKING HEALTH CLAIMS AND KEEPING THE FDA OFF YOUR BACK IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE:
Maybe you arent yet aware, but the FDA is ALL OVER Young Living like ‘white on rice’ about their reps making health claims about essential oils.
Something as simple as saying ‘Young Living’s Lavender essential oil cures headaches’ or ‘tea tree oil treats athlete’s foot’ is actually against the law!
Some Young Living independent distributors have commented in blogs, on Young Living Essential Oils reviews, on social media, and elsewhere, that essential oils help to alleviate or eliminate the symptoms of some serious diseases and conditions. This list includes Alzheimer’s, autism, ADD/ADHD, Ebola, brain injury, endometriosis, Grave’s Disease, and claimed that essential oils have anti-cancer and tumor-reducing properties.
The funny thing is, there are already plenty of scientific studies that corroborate some of these claims–but none of these studies were conducted by the FDA. So, either way, the FDA is up in arms about Young Living independent distributors making medical health claims.
Sadly, the FDA refuses to conduct their own studies on the benefits of essential oils. Well, why would they, when they have big pharma to keep them busy and line their pockets? Either way, this leaves Young Living in the FDA’s cross-hairs at all times.
In fact, the FDA has already sent cease-and-desist letters and other serious threat letters to Young Living for health claims made by their reps. These letters included the actual name, date, account used, and word-for-word statements and health claims made by the Young Living independent distributor. These cease and decist letters were circulated company-wide to ALL of Young Living’s million-plus reps.
Would you want to be in the center of that headache, embarrassment and drama? I certainly wouldn’t!
Bottom line, FDA laws and regulations will make it super-challenging for you use Facebook or social media to market Young Living Essential Oils effectively. ☹
What is the Young Living Essential Oils Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: THE FDA MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO MARKET YOUNG LIVING OILS EFFECTIVELY:
If you are still sold on marketing Young Living Essential Oils by some stubbornness, I have a little challenge for you: Sell me Young Living’s essential oil, DigestZen, which aids in digestion, soothing occasional stomach upset, and maintaining overall digestive health–without making any health claims.
Do you see what I mean? Impossible!
I’m sure you are probably familiar with the disclaimer, “These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.” Yeah, remember that disclaimer?
So, if you would like to become a Young Living independent distributor, you may just decide to say ‘Screw the FDA’ or ‘I’ll take my chances’ and market the products any way you wish. Or, maybe you’ll decide to avoid putting health claims into print. Either way, you have to admit that the FDA adds a whole new headache to something that can be very simple and straightforward when you choose the right business model and product to market.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? IS Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #9: OFFERING HEALTH ADVICE WITHOUT MEDICAL TRAINING COULD PROVE HAZARDOUS:
We have seen a lot of Young Living reps offering inaccurate and worrisome health advice regarding the use of their oils. Essential oils are extremely concentrated plant chemicals that can have a very strong effect on some individuals. Some essential oils are so strong that they should not be ingested, given to pregnant women, or small children at any time. Essential oils rubbed on a pregnant woman’s skin can cross the placental barrier and effect a fetus. Some rare oils, including pennyroyal, can directly trigger miscarriage!
Essential oils can cause serious burns, allergic reactions, or medicinal contraindications. This means essential oils could counteract with actual medications someone is taking, or make them totally ineffective.
Some essential oils, like oregano, clove, and cinnamon, are phenols. Phenols are strong chemicals that can be hard on your liver and harm the gut flora. So, they should not be ingested for long periods of time, and some say never.
Robert Tisserand, who is regarded as one of, if not THE expert on Essential Oil safety says:
So, are you comfortable marketing Young Living Essential Oils and offering non-medical advice without, at least, an aromatherapist’s license?
How will you feel if someone you recommend or sell Young Living Essential Oils to, (or their child), has to be rushed to the hospital for an allergic reaction, chemical burn, anaphylaxis, asthma attack, internal chemical burn, or worse, miscarries their baby. You will be left wondering if the Young Living essential oils you sold them were the cause or contributed to their condition.
Think this is a joking matter? Look here… This article is a MUST READ!
This woman was using essential oils, and then out of nowhere, one day–
Rachel Armstrong developed a bad rash, autoimmune response and phototoxicity after applying essential oils to her skin and drinking a couple drops of lemon essential oils in her drinking water each day.
Rachel is left permanently scarred and will forever suffer allergic reactions to lemons. She was not allergic to, lemons prior to applying and ingesting the lemon oils. Yes, the facial scarring is bad. But equally as bothersome is the fact she suffers with hives every time she is exposed to lemons. (If you’ve ever suffered from hives due to serum sickness, or a hyper-immune response to a protein like I have, you know hives feels like millions of tiny maggots or bugs crawling under your skin. Hives can last for days weeks, or in my case, two years.
Here’s another tragic case of permanent damage caused by essential oils: Photo-toxicity from applying Bergamot Essential Oil, of which Young Living sells:
Or what about this? Good Lord–pouring essential oils directly into your eye?!?! Take a good look at this ad, because it might bethe last time you’ll see, like, literally!!!
Or what about these Young Living Essential Oils reviews?!–
People being advised to pour Young Living’s concentrated chemicals in their ears to cure deafness? OMG!
Or how about having Young Living’s chemicals dripped down their spine causing chemical burns and ulcers, and then being told that the chemical burn was a ‘virus’ leaving their body?!?!?
Calling my bluff?!?! Check out this YL rep’s website detailing exactly how she does the ‘raindrop therapy’ on adults, innocent children, and even horses:
So, is selling Young Living Essential Oils something you feel comfortable doing, in the hopes of garnering only a few extra bucks a year, on the side?
Purchasing and using Young Living Essential Oils for yourself is a whole different ball game than being culpable for someone else’s negative health reaction.
Luckily there are some Young Living essential oils reviews pointing out this serious issue:

Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #10: COMBATING YOUNG LIVING’S DECEPTION, LIES, FALSE ADVERTISING AND MISLEADING DATA IS TRICKY:
Young Living Scam Alert #1: YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS ARE NOT THE PREMIUM ON THE MARKET.
Despite their claims, Young Living oils and products are NOT the premium oils on the market. Keep reading to learn why!…
Young Living Scam Alert #2: YOUNG LIVING HAS BEEN CAUGHT USING SYNTHETIC ADDITIVES IN THEIR OILS. SO MUCH FOR PURE!
Chemist Robert Pappas has claimed in a court deposition that Young Living occasionally uses synthetic chemicals in some of their “organic” products, like their cinnamon bark.
This has been proven as true, from third-party testing. This brings into question concerns about the efficacy of products that Young Living Essential Oils markets. It directly disputes their product labels, website advertising, and Seed to Seal farm paradigm.
Young Living Scam Alert #3: YOUNG LIVING USES THEIR OWN SELF-PROCLAIMED CERTIFICATIONS:
Young living coined their own term, “Young Living Therapeutic Grade” which they proudly market on their bottles to increase sales. There is absolutely no agency or standards for such a claim. Therefore, this is completely marketing deception or ‘fluff’ and adds to Young Living Essential Oils scam claims.
Young Living Scam Alert #4: YOUNG LIVING IS VAGUE ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT-TESTING DETAILS:
To create false trust, Young Living cites another made-up term–their Seed to Seal process, which they call “Standards Beyond the Standard”. It appears to be all-encompassing, and very good insight about the best possible ways to create essential oils: from sourcing, to testing, to compliance standards. However, Young Living offers NO evidence that it’s actually being done. In our opinion, their Seed to Seal page reads more like a set of company goals, rather than an in-depth description of Young Living’s actual processes.
In order to validate their ‘Seed to Seal’ process to potential customers and their reps, Young Living offers walk-throughs of specific farms and facilities. No matter how gorgeous their lavender fields are, or how interesting it may be to learn about how essential oils are made, firsthand, that’s not what is happening in ALL their facilities: Young Living has been caught red-handed tainting their oils with synthetics by third-party laboratory tests.
Therefore, Young Living Oils are not “special,” or better in terms of quality or purity, despite all their marketing efforts with their false ‘Seed to Seal’ bologna. Being caught red-handed adding synthetic ingredients into their supposedly ‘pure’ and organic oils totally discredits any claims of purity they make. Sorry, but after that, no matter what ‘standard’ they can fabricate, they clearly are not following them. Young Living Essential Oils Scam claims are legit.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #12: YOUNG LIVING OILS ARE OVERPRICED FOR THEIR QUALITY:
In comparison studies, we found Young Living’s essential oils to be on the pricey side. Young Living Essential Oils are even more pricey once you account for the fact that many of their products are not premium distills, or certified organic.
Also, when you take into account the Young Living Oils scam claims and that “Young Living therapeutic grade’ term is marketing fluff, Young Living Oils appear even more overrated.
The nail in the coffin with all the Young Living Oils scam claims is the synthetic fillers they’ve been adding to their supposedly ‘pure’ oils. If that doesn’t readily answer the question, “What is the Young Living Scam?” I don’t know what does.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #13: THERE’S SOME STIFF COMPETITION IN THE MARKETPLACE:
There’s some pretty stiff competition in the world of essential oils. Those who are knowledgeable about essential oils are already ‘sold’ on a brand that they use and trust.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL 14: THERE’S MUCH QUICKER SHIPPING AND EASIER RETURNS THROUGH OTHER SOURCES:
Competition from other sites, like Amazon, are bound to make your sales job a lot harder.
Amazon offers Young Living products, as well as a plethora of other quality, premium oils with a free, two-day shipping for their Prime members.
They offer even further price discounts by utilizing their ‘Subscribe & Save’ program which you can choose to skip or turn off at any time, unlike Young Living’s autoship.
Amazon offers free, no-hassle returns vs. Young Living’s complex partial-refund and exchange policy, where you must cover the price of your returns, in most cases.
Don’t forget, the #1 YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS SCAM COMPLAINT in Young Living essential oils reviews is obscene and lengthy shipping and refunds.
On June 28th, 2017, Cathy Watts, an actual Young Living distributor, had this to say in her Young Living review on bestcompany.com:
On June 9th, 2017, Mia Fiterman from Birmingham, AL, gives Young Living review 1 out of 5 stars in her own negative Young Living Essential Oils reviews on bestcompany.com:
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: PITFALL #15: LACK OF CORE BUSINESS-MODEL TRAINING WILL ULTIMATELY CRUSH YOU, IN THE END:
Last on our current list of really obvious setbacks in our Young Living Essential Oils scam review is actually the most important one of all. Young Living does not effectively teach you the nuts and bolts of becoming successful in building your own online business empire from the ground up. Nor does it teach you how to scale their business model in any super-lucrative way.
How can we put this nicely?
What is the Young Living Essential Oils Scam?: Young Living will teach you the inefficient method of how to fish for their customers using a fishing pole, one fish at a time. Young Living will not teach you how to cast large fishing nets for yourself, capable of earning you a 7-figure income or more, online.
Young Living will not teach you how to scale your business so that you can, in effect, run multiple fisheries later on down the road. THIS is where the REAL money in online marketing lies: in learning how to cast large fishing nets, not in selling essential oils one quarter ounce at a time. That inefficient method is for amateurs, no offense.
Is Young Living Essential Oils a Scam? Is Young Living a Pyramid Scheme?: OUR FINAL VERDICT:
Not good. Even if Young Living Essential Oils may be to your liking, the business, itself, is not ideal if your goal is to earn serious levels of income online—period.
As you saw from our number-crunching, above, Young Living Scam claims are justified. The median-average dollar amount made by independent distributors is a whopping $0. Wow. So, don’t ever ‘plan’ on making any money selling Young Living Essential Oils.
At best, you can spread the word about Young Living Essential Oils to several of your fellow essential oil-loving friends (that’s if you aren’t deeply bothered by their false claims, synthetic fillers, or that they’re significantly overpriced for their quality). In return, you’ll be blessed with discounts on these pricey oils.
What is the Young Living Essential Oils Scam, in the end? For new Young Living independent distributors and online marketers, if you’ve never sold anything online, or haven’t already mastered the foundation or principles of scaling an online business, selling Young Living Essential Oils will NOT be that life-changing opportunity you are searching for. Selling Young Living WILL NOT allow you to live an alluring ‘Laptop Lifestyle’, or allow you to cast your financial worries to the wind. More than likely, you will end up as the next victim in the Young Living Essential Oils scam: deep in the financial hole with a lot of essential oils stacked in your closet.
A BETTER SOLUTION THAN SELLING YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS :
